The Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED on Thursday raided the premises of Santiago Martin, known as ‘Lottery King’ in Chennai. According to the information, ED has conducted these raids in connection with money laundering investigation. Let us tell you that lottery king Santiago Martin donated 1,300 crore rupees to political parties through the electoral bond scheme. Recently, the Madras High Court allowed the ED to proceed with the investigation against Martin. Following this, the ED raided its premises on Thursday.

Tamil Nadu Police recently decided to close the case against lottery king Santiago Martin and some people. The lower court accepted this version of the police. However, the Madras High Court allowed the Enforcement Directorate to proceed with the investigation against Martin. According to sources, the ED raided Martin’s houses in Chennai and several other places on Thursday.
457 crore assets have been seized.
Last year, the central agency took strict action against Santiago Martin. Fraud of state lotteries in Kerala cost the Sikkim government Rs. A case was registered against Martin in connection with an alleged loss of over Rs 900 crore. Martin’s property worth Rs 457 crore was seized in this case. Let us tell you that the main distributor of Sikkim Lottery is Martin’s company ‘Future Gaming Solutions India Private Limited’.
The investigation is ongoing since 2019
