14 from J&K Crack UPSC, 3–5 Likely to Make it to IAS

SRINAGAR, Apr 22: Fourteen candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have successfully cleared the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, with a few of them likely to find a place in the country’s top administrative services.

Among them, Iram Choudhary has emerged as the highest-ranking candidate from the region, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 40, putting her in strong contention for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Mubeeb Bhat has also performed notably with AIR 131, followed by Manil Bejotra who bagged Rank 401. Several others, including Akshay Parihar, Haris Mir, Aakash Gupta, and Ghulam Hadi, have also made it to the merit list with ranks ranging from 200s to 900s.

According to preliminary assessments, at least three to five of these candidates are likely to secure positions in the IAS, while two to four are expected to be allotted the Indian Police Service (IPS). (KDC)
