The fourth batch of 99 firemen were certified in a grand ceremony at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre, culminating their 31 weeks of rigorous training.
In a statement issued to the NVI, a defense spokesperson in Srinagar said: “The ceremony began with a national flag salute, followed by a ceremonial parade and oath-taking ceremony.
In a heartwarming gesture, the proud parents of the firemen were awarded the ‘Gaurav Padak’, which honors their support for their sacrifice and dedication of their children to national service.”
A spokesman said: “This is not just a certification, but a celebration of resilience, discipline and a spirit of service. Firefighters have undergone a transformative journey, ready to serve the nation with unwavering commitment and honour. Today, they stand as proud soldiers, ready to guard our borders and contribute to India’s security. (News Vibes of India)
