This First Lady of the United StatesJill Biden began her final solo international trip on Tuesday, visiting four countries in six days. The trip includes stops in Italy, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and finally France. Notre Dame is reopening.The trip focuses on one of Jill Biden’s key initiatives as first lady: Asst Military familieseducation, Cancer researchAnd Women’s Health. She is ready to highlight US partnerships with each host country in these areas.
Jill Biden’s first stop is Naval Air Station Sigonella in Catania, Italy, where she will meet with military personnel and deliver remarks as part of a join forces. His father served in the Navy during World War II. He will then visit his ancestral home of Geso in Sicily.
In Abu Dhabi, UAE, Jill Biden will visit Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi with a focus on cancer research and participate in a discussion on women’s health research. He will also meet Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, a prominent leader in women and family issues.
In Doha, Qatar, the first woman will visit Qatar Foundation and Weill Cornell Medicine – will highlight the Qatar Education and Health Partnership. He will also attend the royal wedding ceremony. On Saturday, he will deliver the keynote address Doha Forum.
The trip ends in Paris, where Jill Biden will join dignitaries including President Donald Trump to reopen Notre Dame Cathedral.
This is Jill Biden’s 10th solo international trip as First Lady. She has also accompanied her husband and President Joe Biden on several foreign trips. Previous solo trips include leading the US delegation to the Olympics, visiting Ukraine and attending the inauguration of Mexico’s first female president.
Jill Biden is scheduled to return to Washington on Sunday.
