Washington: Chinese hackers have targeted many countries around the world. They are constantly conducting cyber attacks on various countries and their well-known companies. America is not immune to this Chinese cyber attack. The White House has alleged that China has attacked at least 8 American telecommunications companies. Not only this, apart from the US, China has also attacked the telecommunication and computer networks of many other countries.
The White House claims that China’s ‘hacking’ campaign has affected many countries in the world, including the US. A top official at the White House (the official residence and office of the US President) gave this information on Wednesday. Deputy National Security Adviser Annie Neuberger offered new details about a widespread Chinese ‘hacking’ campaign. According to details, this ‘hacking’ campaign by China allowed officials in Beijing to access private messages and phone conversations of unidentified Americans.
The FBI is taking action
Neuberger exposed this case of ‘hacking’ and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency issued guidelines a day later to root out ‘hacking’ and those associated with it and prevent similar cyber espionage in the future. White House officials warned that the number of affected telecommunications companies and countries could rise. Hence America has alerted its security agencies to stop the hackers. (AP)
