New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has once again targeted Congress and Samajwadi Party. Targeting the Congress party, the BSP supremo on Saturday said it has maintained silence on the Bangladesh issue but is shouting ‘sambal-sambal’ for Muslim votes. Mayawati also said that Samajwadi Party and Congress are trying to win over Muslim voters to their party under the guise of violence in Sambhal. He said that most of the Hindus who are facing incidents of violence in Bangladesh are Dalits and weaker sections, but the Congress has remained silent on this.
Questions were also raised on Dalit MPs
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Lucknow, Mayawati said that Hindis are being attacked in large numbers in Bangladesh. He said, ‘Parliament is currently in session and the opposition, especially Samajwadi Party and Congress, instead of raising issues of national and public interest, are trying to attract Muslim votes under the guise of violence to further their political interests. . Sadly, even those who helped Dalit MPs to reach Parliament are keeping silent on the issues of Dalit atrocities to please their party bosses.
Mayawati made this demand from BJP
The BSP supremo further said, ‘Majority of the victims of atrocities in Bangladesh are Dalit and weaker section Hindus. Despite being the main opposition party, the Congress is silent on the issue and is raising slogans of ‘Sambhal-Sambhal’ only for Muslim votes. Congress, SP and their supporting parties are on the same page in this matter. Mayawati said that in such a situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the central government led by it should go ahead and fulfill their responsibility. Let us tell you that after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina, Hindus are being continuously attacked in Bangladesh and it is being condemned at the international level as well.
