He said that in such a situation, a group of 101 farmers will start a march towards Delhi on December 8. Let it be known that the protesting farmers postponed their march towards Delhi after some farmers were allegedly injured due to tear gas shells fired by the security personnel on the Punjab-Haryana border on Friday.
‘One of the farmers lost his hearing’
Farmers are pushing for the fulfillment of several other demands, including a legal guarantee for the minimum support price, or MSP. On Saturday, on the Shambhu border, Pandher said 16 farmers were injured due to tear gas shells fired by Haryana security personnel. He said that one of these farmers has lost hearing. Pandher said that except the four injured farmers, the rest have been discharged from the hospital. He said, ‘We have not received any message from the central government for talks. ‘Kisan Mazdoor Morcha has decided’
Pandher said that the joint Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have already decided that a group of 101 farmers will again march peacefully towards Delhi on Sunday afternoon. Let it be said that the ‘jatha’ was stopped due to the multi-layered barricading put up by the security personnel of Haryana. Ignoring prohibitory orders, the farmers tried to cross the barricades, but security personnel intercepted them and fired several tear gas shells, forcing them to retreat to their protest site at Shambhu in Punjab.
‘Jagjit Singh Dallewal lost 8 kg’
On the action of the security personnel against the protesting farmers, farmer leader Pandher said that the BJP-led central government has been exposed. Fifteen said, ‘What did he do yesterday? People are angry with this action. People are asking the BJP why they were not allowed to move if the farmers were not taking tractor-trolleys with them. Another farmer leader, Jagjit Singh Dallewal, is on a hunger strike at the Khanauri border. Farmers have claimed that Dallewal’s weight has decreased by 8 kg. (language)
