Sajad Lone objects to rejection of resolution without prior intimation

Jammu, March 25: Peoples Conference legislator Sajad Gani Lone on Tuesday raised concerns in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly over not being informed about the rejection of his resolution

Before the commencement of Question Hour, Lone stood up and questioned the Speaker on why he was not informed about the rejection of his resolution.

Referring to Rule 197 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Lone said that the rule mandates prior intimation to a legislator if their resolution is disallowed.

In response, the Speaker said that legislators would be informed about the rejection of their resolutions.
