Sopore Police Holds Joint Security Review Meeting Ahead of Independence Day

Sopore, August 08< KDC: A joint security review meeting was held today at the Conference Hall of District Police Office (DPO) Sopore to chalk out coordinated security arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations and associated events across Police District Sopore.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Sopore and attended by Commanding Officers of 22 RR, 52 RR, and 32 RR, Commandants of 92 Bn, 177 Bn, and 179 Bn CRPF, officers from intelligence agencies, SP Ops Sopore, as well as all SDPOs, DySP Ops, and SHOs of Police District Sopore.

A threadbare discussion was held on key events scheduled prior to August 15 and the main Independence Day function at Sopore. Detailed security aspects including naka points, high-rise deployments, drone surveillance, ASHI vehicle patrolling, anti-sabotage checks (ASC), area domination, and intelligence coordination were deliberated upon.

Special emphasis was laid on threat perception, recent terrorist movement, and the need for sustained preventive area domination across Sopore and Rafiabad. All stakeholders reaffirmed their collective commitment to ensuring a peaceful, secure, and grand celebration of Independence Day across the district.

Sopore Police reiterates its resolve to maintain high levels of security preparedness, public participation, and inter-agency synergy in the run-up to Independence Day 2025. (KDC)
