Beijing: A 62-year-old man drove a car into a group of people in Zhuhai, China. Due to which 35 people have died. While 43 others have been injured. At least 35 people were killed and 43 others injured when a car plowed into a group of people outside a sports center in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai on Tuesday evening, Chinese state television CCTV said.
It is being said that the suspect who carried out the incident was a 62-year-old divorced man who rammed his car into the crowd. The suspect was attempting to harm himself before using the knife. Then the police arrested him on the spot. The suspect was sent to a hospital for treatment, according to a statement issued by Zhuhai police on Tuesday. It was not immediately clear whether it was an attack or an accident. No motive was specified and police said the investigation is ongoing.
