There has been a significant change in the weather in Delhi-NCR since Sunday. As the temperature drops in Delhi, the smog has increased. Due to smog and air pollution, train movement and flights have been affected. As many as 14 flights were diverted at Delhi Airport due to poor weather conditions, while several flights were delayed. An official gave this information.

He said visibility in Delhi has reduced due to fog. Due to which the operation of the planes has been affected. Airlines like Air India, ‘SpiceJet’ and ‘IndiGo’ informed passengers through social media platforms that flights may be affected due to low visibility in the national capital which is battling high levels of pollution.
The flight was diverted to Jaipur
Between 8.30 am and 3 pm, 13 of the 14 flights were diverted to Jaipur and one to Dehradun, the official said. He said some pilots had not trained for ‘CAT-3’ operations. Due to which flight routes had to be changed. Broadly speaking, ‘CAT-3’ allows trained pilots to fly or land aircraft in very low visibility conditions.
Many flights have been affected due to fog. Delhi Airport, Amritsar Airport, Chandigarh Airport are the worst affected due to low visibility at various airports in India.

Due to low visibility at Delhi airport, the flight is being diverted to Jaipur. So far 8 flights have diverted and reached Jaipur. One international and 7 domestic flights have been diverted.
