A father of six in Karnataka killed his second wife after marrying for the third time and threw her in a drain.

Bengaluru: The decomposing body of a woman was found in a drain on the outskirts of Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru. A few days after the incident, police arrested the woman’s husband from Bihar on charges of murder, officials said on Friday. He said that 39-year-old accused Mohammad Naseem, who works as a painter by profession, has been arrested from Muzaffarpur. The police said that the incident took place on November 11 in Sarjapur police station area.

‘Fights used to happen over small things’

According to the police, Naseem and his 22-year-old second wife Rumesh Khatoon used to quarrel with each other over petty matters. His relationship was strained as Naseem and Rumesh were suspicious of his wife. Police said that because of such things, Naseem decided to get rid of his wife. After strangling Rumesh to death, Naseem tied his hands and feet with wire and threw his body in a drain, a senior official said. He said that after killing his wife, he fled to his native Muzaffarpur in Bihar along with his six children.
