Elon Musk Millions of users have left Facebook’s social media platform X after Donald Trump won the presidential election. Rival microblogging platform Bluesky has benefited from this. Bluesky’s board of directors includes Twitter (now X) co-founder Jack Dorsey. According to the report, millions of users have distanced themselves from X due to Elon Musk’s open support for Donald Trump in the presidential election.
According to a Reuters report, this is not just because of Donald Trump. Millions of users had issues with X’s upcoming terms and service, which has led them to decide to leave the social media platform. BlueSky now has over 16 million users. In the last one week, 2.5 million or 25 lakh new users have been created on this microblogging platform, most of whom have shifted from X to this platform.
X’s next terms of service
According to the report, users have protested against X’s upcoming terms of service, stating that legal action will be taken against any controversial content. With this in mind, users have decided to abandon X. Donald Trump recently won the American presidential election. Trump then thanked X owner Elon Musk and decided to give him the DOGE department in the government.
Record the connected user in Bluesky
BlueSky has issued a statement saying that recently more than 1 million new users have joined the platform in a single day, which is a record. Bluesky’s website saw a record 1.2 million visitors on November 6. BlueSky surpassed Meta’s Instagram and Threads in adding new users. However, Threads still has the most mobile app users.
Most users of Elon Musk’s social media platform, however, say some users are about to make a big change to its terms of service.
