A Los Angeles assistant principal has been arrested for sexually abusing eight elementary school students

A former assistant principal and counselor has been arrested and faces multiple felony charges for allegedly sexually abusing eight elementary school students. Los AngelesThe US
David Lane Braff Jr., 42, was arrested Friday and charged with 17 felony counts. Prosecutors allege the abuse occurred between 2015 and 2019 while Braff worked as a counselor at an elementary school. Santa Paula. The alleged victims were six years old.
“The defendant is alleged to have molested multiple elementary school children over a number of years, thereby breaking the trust placed in him by parents, teachers and the public.” Ventura County District Attorney Eric Nazarenko said in a statement, the New York Post reported.
At the time of his arrest, Braff was working as an assistant principal and school counselor Ingenium Charter Middle School in Winnetka. Prosecutors believe Braff may have worked elsewhere Southern California Schools and volunteering with youth groups.
Braff is currently being held in the Ventura County Jail on $3 million bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
