Seoul: Heavy snowfall in South Korea’s capital Seoul has disrupted life. The sight of this dangerous snow storm will shake your soul. Hundreds of flights were canceled on Wednesday due to heavy snowfall. Air, rail and road transport has also been severely disrupted.

Let us tell you that this storm hit South Korea in the month of November. This snow storm is being called the worst storm in the last 50 years. South Korea’s weather agency said 20 centimeters of snow fell in the north and areas around Seoul. According to the agency, this is the worst snowfall in Seoul in 52 years. On November 28, 1972, a typhoon in Seoul dropped 12 centimeters of snow.

Most all parts of South Korea are affected

This snow storm has engulfed most parts of the country. About 10 to 23 cm of snowfall has been recorded in the central, eastern and south-western parts of the country. At least 220 flights were canceled or delayed at airports across the country. Authorities have ordered about 90 boats to remain in port. Snow accumulation on roads in Seoul slowed traffic in the morning while emergency workers across the country worked to clear fallen trees, signs and other safety hazards. Snowfall will continue in most parts of the country till Thursday afternoon, the weather agency said.
