Air India passengers stranded in Thailand for 80 hours, Delhi-bound flight makes emergency landing in Phuket

New Delhi: Air India passengers have been stranded in Phuket, Thailand for nearly 80 hours. The flight has been canceled due to a technical fault in the flight. Air India flight number AI377 was from Phuket to Delhi. The flight to Delhi was supposed to arrive on the night of November 16 but has not arrived yet. According to sources, there are currently 35-40 passengers in Phuket who will be evacuated by this evening flight.

First technical problem then emergency landing

According to the information, the plane was announced to take off 6 hours late due to a technical fault. Then when boarding began, an hour later the passengers were disembarked and informed that the flight was cancelled. According to information received from sources associated with Air India, the aircraft did not fly on November 16 due to flight duty time constraints. When the plane took off on November 17, it encountered a technical problem, forcing it to make an emergency landing. The aircraft could not be repaired which caused the problem.

Passengers will be dropped off this evening

All passengers were accommodated and their fares will be refunded. Sources said many passengers have been sent away. 35-40 passengers are in Phuket. It will be sent by this evening flight.

More than 100 passengers were on board the plane

More than 100 passengers of an Air India-New Delhi flight have been stranded in Phuket, Thailand for over 80 hours after multiple delays due to technical glitches, according to multiple posts by passengers on social media. According to the passengers, the flight was scheduled to take off for Delhi on the night of November 16, but the airline representatives informed the passengers of a six-hour delay due to a technical glitch. The passengers alleged that they were asked to board the plane after waiting for hours at the airport, but were kicked off the plane after an hour. The flight was cancelled. Elderly people and children were also among the passengers.

After this the aircraft was prepared for flight. Passengers say they were told it was the same plane, but the fault had been rectified. The plane took off and landed back in Phuket about two and a half hours later, and passengers were again told there was a technical fault. Since then, passengers have been stranded in Phuket.
