The Hindu party claims that the Ajmer Dargah was actually a Shiva temple there. The temple was demolished and a dargah was built there. There was a lake near the temple, which is still there today. Let us tell you that the Ajmer Court has sent a notice to all the parties in this matter. A petition from the Hindu party has demanded a survey of the shrine. The petition has sought permission to worship inside the dargah. The Ajmer court has accepted the Hindu party’s plea, meaning the court has accepted that the plea is worthy of hearing. The Hindu party claims that before the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, there was a temple of Sankat Mochan Mahadev, which was demolished and converted into a dargah 800 years ago. The Hindu party has demanded the court to survey and hand over the Hindus. Vishnu Gupta filed a petition in the court on behalf of the Hindu Sena, on which the court has sent notices to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Dargah Committee Ajmer and Archaeological Survey of India.

What did Anjuman Committee Secretary Sarwar Chishti say?

The next hearing in this matter will be held on December 20. Sarwar Chishti, Secretary of the Anjuman Committee, gave a statement in this regard and said that the Dargah is a symbol of goodwill. Action against him is not in national interest. Insha Allah no one’s wish will be fulfilled. He said that on the application of the Hindu party, the court has also made the Dargah Committee a party. The Dargah Committee is rejecting the Hindu party’s claim. Dargah Committee Secretary Sarwar Chishti said that Ajmer Dargah has millions of followers not only in the country but all over the world. He said that the country’s unity and tolerance would be threatened if the Place of Worship Act was tampered with. Dargah Diwan Syed Naseeruddin Chishti said that some people are making such claims about the dargah to gain popularity. The Dargah in Ajmer has been around for 850 years.
