Vishnu Gupta filed a petition in the court on behalf of the Hindu Sena, on which the court has sent notices to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Dargah Committee Ajmer and Archaeological Survey of India.

He said that the country’s unity and tolerance would be threatened if the Place of Worship Act was tampered with. Dargah Diwan Syed Naseeruddin Chishti said that some people are making such claims about the dargah to gain popularity. The Dargah in Ajmer has been around for 850 years.
