Amid divorce rumours, Meghan Markle wants more time from US authorities to fix this

According to reports, Harry and Meghan will now take separate paths professionally.

As Meghan Markle professionally sparks rumors of a divorce from her husband Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex has asked US authorities to give her a little more time to get her lifestyle brand off the ground. Meghan will now focus fully on her career but her jam brand American Riviera Orchard has not been able to get a trademark due to some filing issues. Meghan was given three months in August to correct the errors in the application. According to reports, he has now sought three more months to correct the error in the filing and if this deadline is missed, he will have to start the application again. The application Meghan filled out earlier this year was not signed and she did not send enough money, reports said.
Another firm that owns the trademark Royal Riviera challenged Meghan’s trademark application.
However, it is not clear why Meghan would need three more months to fix things when her lawyers are already working on it.

Are Harry and Meghan headed for divorce?

Harry and Meghan are in the middle of a professional separation which means they won’t be working together. According to their aides, the decision was taken jointly as their joint brand ‘Harry-Meghan’ or ‘Sussex’ is losing popularity. It has been decided that Meghan will focus on her Hollywood projects and home goods brand while Harry dabbles in his charity work. But whether this arrangement is also to cover their personal isolation is yet to be known. They have rarely made a joint appearance and are reportedly rarely together in California.
Before marrying Harry, Meghan was married to American film producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2014 when they divorced. They cited “irreconcilable differences” for their divorce. Meghan and Harry married in 2018 and stepped out of the royal family in 2020.
