Islamabad: Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, was arrested in another case as soon as he was released from jail in one case. Due to which the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has created an uproar. It is being said that Imran Khan was granted bail in the alleged corruption case, but was arrested hours later in connection with the protest. With this new arrest, the possibility of Khan’s release is all but over.
Let us tell you that the Islamabad High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Khan in another case related to Toshakhana, after which the hope of his release increased. The case concerns the purchase price of an expensive Bulgari jewelry set. Hours after he was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court, the Rawalpindi police arrested Khan late at night in connection with a case registered at the New Town police station on terrorism and other charges. Police alleged that Khan had called for a protest in Rawalpindi on September 28 while he was incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan is currently wanted in 8 cases. Dawn newspaper quoted a police spokesperson as saying that Khan has been detained in a case registered on September 28 and a team has been tasked to probe the allegations. Even before his formal arrest in the case, Federal Information Minister A Tarar ruled out the possibility of his release by saying that Khan is wanted in eight cases related to the May 9, 2023 violence and will face trial in all the cases.
