In fact, a case involving a hair dryer has come to light in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district. Something happened here that the woman’s life is in danger. In this shocking incident, the victim lost his palm and fingers. Let us tell you that a hair dryer was couriered to the neighbor of the victim. Meanwhile, when the woman tried to turn on the hair dryer, it suddenly exploded. In this incident, the woman’s palm and fingers were blown off.

Hair dryer explodes, woman’s fingers fly off

Let it be known that after this incident the woman has been admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The incident took place on November 15, which came to light on Wednesday. Police sources said the injured woman has been identified as 37-year-old Basavarajeshwari Yarnal, wife of former army personnel Papanna Yarnal, who died in Jammu and Kashmir in 2017. According to investigating officials, the explosion was caused by an electrical short circuit. To use appliances like hair dryer, a 2 watt electrical connection is required. The switch in which the hair dryer was plugged in was not of sufficient capacity which led to the accident.

The police told the whole story

According to information received from the police, a courier parcel was booked in the name of Basavarajeshwari’s neighbor Sasikala. When the courier delivery man called Sasikala to pick up the parcel, she told him that she was out of town and asked her to deliver the parcel to her neighbor Basavarajeshwari instead. After this, Sasikala called Basavarajeshwari and requested her to take the parcel. Later, Basavarajeshwar went to the courier office and took the parcel. When Sasikala asked her to open the parcel, Basavarajeshwari opened it and found a hair dryer. As soon as Basavarajeshwari plugged the hair dryer into the power socket and turned it on, it exploded in her hand.

The neighbor refused the courier

Hearing the explosion, some neighbors came running and saw that Basavarajeshwari’s palms and fingers had been cut. He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital. Although Sasikala claimed that she had not ordered any product online, Bagalkot Superintendent of Police Amarnath Reddy said that Sasikala might have said so out of fear after the incident. The SP said a case has been registered at the Ilkal police station and investigations are on to find out who ordered the device and where it was sent from. A Visakhapatnam-based hair dryer manufacturing firm has been identified. Further investigations are underway
