Dhaka: Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned the Chief Advisor of the interim government Mohammad Yunus government. He has termed the arrest of ISKCON temple priest Chinmoy Krishna Das as unjust. Also said that the Yunus government should release Chinmay Das immediately. On the murder of a lawyer outside a Bangladesh court, Hasina said that those involved in the murder should be found and punished at the earliest. He termed those involved in the lawyer’s killing as terrorists and appealed to the people of Bangladesh to unite against terrorism and extremism.
What did Sheikh Hasina say?
Awami League posted Sheikh Hasina’s statement on Twitter. It said that ‘the top leader of the Sanatan Dharma community has been unjustly arrested, he should be released immediately. Temples are burnt in Chittagong. Mosques, temples, churches, monasteries and houses belonging to the Ahmadiyya community have been attacked, vandalized, looted and set on fire in the past. Religious freedom and security of life and property of people of all communities should be ensured.
The harassment continues
Hasina also said, ‘After the killing of numerous Awami League leaders, activists, students, general public and members of law enforcement agencies, persecution continues through attacks, cases and arrests. I strongly condemn and oppose these anarchist actions.
Attacks on Hindus continue
Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina had to flee to Bangladesh after resigning. On August 5 this year, she landed at the Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, near Delhi, the capital of India. Since then Sheikh Hasina has been staying at an unknown place in Delhi.
