In the meantime he said that it has been 3 years since we introduced the Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act in Assam. Through this law we have achieved a lot of success in homicide. Now we have decided that beef shall not be served in any hotel or restaurant and its inclusion in any public function shall not be prohibited. We had earlier decided that eating or selling beef within a 5 km radius of the temple would be prohibited. However, it has now been implemented across the state.
