Big reveal on Champions Trophy 2025, PCB gets sarcastic response from BCCI

The dispute between the Indian Cricket Board ie BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the Champions Trophy 2025 is not being resolved. The tournament is now almost 100 days away but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not ready to agree to a hybrid model. In the meantime PCB has made a big disclosure about the tournament. In fact, PCB has received a mail from ICC stating that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy. The mail comes after a statement by the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman who said that Pakistan will announce its policy only when they get something in writing from the ICC. Now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is under tension after receiving India’s written reply from ICC.

PCB and BCCI head to head

The PCB said in a statement that the board has received an e-mail from the ICC saying that the BCCI has informed them that their team will not tour Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. A PCB spokesperson said that the PCB has forwarded the e-mail to the Pakistan government for consultation and guidance. The PCB did not comment further on the ICC e-mail but it has become clear that the Indian team is not ready to go to Pakistan under any conditions.

Hybrid model is not approved by PCB

Earlier, PCB Chairman Naqvi had said that the ‘hybrid model’ is not acceptable to Pakistan. Now after BCCI’s reply has come out, the crisis regarding the organization of Champions Trophy has become more serious. The Indian cricket team had earlier refused to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, after which a hybrid model was adopted. India played all its matches in Sri Lanka. However, this time PCB is not in favor of adopting this model. Let us tell you that the Indian team has not toured Pakistan since 2008. At the same time, the Pakistan team has come to India for the White Ball Series in 2012-13, the T20 World Cup in 2016 and the 50-over World Cup last year.
