New Delhi: Weather patterns are set to change in many states of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Punjab and Haryana during the next 24 hours. In fact, a fresh Western Disturbance may affect the plains from December 8. Due to which there is a possibility of snowfall in the Himalayan region and rain in some states.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a gradual drop in the minimum temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius in parts of northwest India during the week. Due to which cold wave can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, North Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
Dense Fog Warning
According to IMD, dense fog is likely during late night and morning hours over various parts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh from December 7 to 10. Light fog may also be seen over Delhi, East UP and Bihar in the morning.
It will rain heavily here
According to the information provided by the Meteorological Department, heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on December 11-12. Heavy rain is predicted in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on December 12.
Heavy rain is expected in Tamil Nadu’s Myladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts as well as Karaikal on December 11. Heavy rain is expected in Chengalpattu, Villuppuram, Cuddalore, Myladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram districts, Puducherry and Karaikal on December 12.
Weather forecast for Delhi
The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR has decreased by 3 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours. The current maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are between 23 to 26 degrees Celsius and 08 to 11 degrees Celsius respectively. Delhi will have mainly clear skies during afternoon with fog and light fog in different directions.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the level of air pollution in Delhi today is in the ‘moderate’ category. A thin layer of fog was seen in the vicinity of India Gate on Saturday morning. A thin layer of fog is also being seen in Barapula area of Delhi.
