Congress to Launch 15-Day March for J&K Statehood

Jammu, Mar 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress will launch a 10–15 day march from March 24 to intensify its demand for the restoration of J&K’s statehood, party president Tariq Hameed Karra announced on Saturday.

Clarifying that the initiative is not a protest, Karra said, “We are reaffirming our demand for statehood. This march will serve as a reminder to the Government of India, the Prime Minister, and the Home Minister that Jammu and Kashmir deserves its rightful status.”

The Congress, along with its ally, the National Conference, has consistently advocated for the restoration of statehood, stressing its importance for the J&K’s governance and democratic rights.
