Dana White’s Shocking U-Turn on Politics After Supporting Trump: ‘Gross, Never King’s Doing This’

Dana White says her support for friend Donald Trump is not her support for the Republican Party. He has no interest in politics.

UFC CEO Dana White Who emerged as a supporter of his long-time friend Donald Trump before the election, has now taken a surprising U-turn as he said he has nothing to do with politics. “I never want to do that again. I have nothing to do with this. It’s disgusting. It’s disgusting. I have nothing to do with politics,” Dana White told the New Yorker.
Nothing was wrong between Dana and Trump, but White told the New Yorker that he helped the campaign because Trump is a friend. The rest of the GOP is on its own, hinting that politics doesn’t interest him, though he has frequently been seen in the political arena — but only because of Trump.
“Donald Trump is tougher and more badass than anybody. You can only pray that you’re a quarter of the man Donald Trump was when a guy tried to shoot him seven times in the head with a high-powered rifle with an af**king. His space on,” said Dana White.
Dana and Trump’s friendship goes back a long way — long before Trump got into politics — Trump saved the UFC by holding multiple events at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. When Trump launched his first presidential campaign in 2015, Dana White was one of the first public figures to endorse him.
Dana was also there at the Republican National Convention, at the Madison Square Garden rally before the election and at the election victory rally, and then at the UFC at MSG.
As Trump now nominates people for his future administration, Dana White insists that he does not want to participate in politics. “I’m in the fighting business, which is the dirtiest, worst business. We all hate each other and we all fight every day. Nothing is dirtier than politics. It is disgusting. It’s gross. I have nothing to do with it,” Dana said recently.
