DD smiles, kisses family in court, tries 3rd bail

DD appealed for bail in the sex trafficking case for the third time.

Sean Diddy Combs kissed his family Friday as they came to a Manhattan court hearing where Diddy made his third attempt to stand trial on bail pending charges he denied — sex trafficking, sex racketeering, transportation for engagement in prostitution. His 17-year-old twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combe were in court today along with other family members. DD entered the court through a side door in prison garb, smiling and waving to family members.
DD’s lawyers plan to ask Judge Arun Subramaniam to release him on $50 million bond as he prepares for his May 2025 trial on racketeering and sex-trafficking charges.
The third bail plea comes as the prosecution has accused DD of influencing witnesses from jail through third parties. DD’s lawyers denied the allegations and condemned the raid on DD’s cell.
Earlier this week, a judge ordered federal prosecutors to delete images of the billionaire mogul’s handwritten notes taken during his prison search — which his lawyers said were protected by attorney-client privilege and improperly seized. Excerpts from those notes that prosecutors had previously referred to could not be used at the bond hearing, the judge added.
Since Diddy has been in jail since September, several lawsuits have been filed against him with allegations of rape, sexual assault, rape of minors, etc.
The feds began their investigation in November 2023 when DD’s ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura sued Combs, alleging physical and sexual abuse. He settled her civil case a day after she filed it.
