Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Visit Srinagar Today for Interaction with Troops

Srinagar, May 15, KDC: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to arrive in Srinagar today for a short visit during which he will interact with army personnel and officers.

Sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com that Raksha Manti Rajnath Singh is expected to reach Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar around 11:30 AM.

This will be Singh’s first visit to the Kashmir Valley following the recently concluded Operation Sindoor, a significant counter-insurgency operation carried out by Indian security forces in Pakistan.

During his visit, the Defence Minister is likely to review the security situation in the Kashmir and hold deliberations with senior army officials at 15 Corps headquarter in Srinagar. He is also expected to address the troops and acknowledge their efforts.

Singh is slated to fly back to New Delhi later in the day after completing his engagements in Srinagar. (KDC)
