Author and investigative journalist Kirby Somers pointed out that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s endorsement of Pam Bondi was significant because Jeb Bush was protecting Jeffrey Epstein.

In 2013, Bondi’s office received complaints from people alleging that they had been defrauded by Donald Trump’s Trump University seminars. Florida did not pursue the case, and Bondi’s political committee received a $25,000 donation from Donald Trump’s foundation. Trump and Bondi at the time denied any donation and any link to it.
Bondi has a record of high-profile cases in his attorney general career. She helped appoint the special prosecutor who investigated the 2012 shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teen, by a neighborhood volunteer.
