Elon Musk has made X a ‘super app’, here’s LinkedIn’s special feature

Elon Musk has made his microblogging platform X (Twitter) a super app. In this the company has added a new job search feature. Users can search for jobs on X just like LinkedIn. Last year, Musk added a job hiring feature to it, where recruiters, i.e. companies providing jobs, can list themselves. This feature was first introduced in the beta version. Later now this feature has been rolled out for all users.

X becomes a super app

Musk has made several changes to Twitter (now X) since he bought it in 2022. Firstly, it has added many features including video calling feature, long video sharing, long post, editing, live, which are present on other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram etc. Now Musk is ready to shift LinkedIn users to him by adding a job search feature. However, how popular this feature will be on the X in the future remains to be seen.

How will it work?

Musk added an ex-hiring feature to the beta version of his microblogging platform. This feature is mainly for those organizations that are verified on this platform. Through this recruitment and job facility, organizations as well as suitable candidates can find the jobs of their choice.

X New Jobs feature

This feature of X’s job will depend on X-hiring’s database. As companies post jobs for any new role through this tool, users will see it in job search results. To this end, an Application Tracking System (ATS) has been added, which provides candidate data to hiring companies through an XML feed.

Users will not be charged anything for using the Jobs feature on X. However, for ex-hiring, companies have to pay $1,000 per month which is approximately Rs. 82,000 will be charged. Users will click or tap on the Jobs option provided in the X app or website to search for jobs. After this, use keywords to search for jobs of your choice.
