He has been a part of IPL before
Unmukt Chand won the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup for the Indian team in 2012 as captain. They defeated the Australian team in the final. Apart from this, he scored an unbeaten 111 in 130 balls in the final to lead India to victory. He was also the player of the match in the final. Unmukt Chand was born in Delhi. He also played for Delhi Daredevils in IPL. Unmukt Chand was part of the Delhi team in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He moved to Rajasthan Royals in 2014. He played for Mumbai Indians in the 2015 season. He last played in IPL in 2016.
Unmukt Chand has shifted to America
Things suddenly did not go well for the rising star of Indian cricket Unmukt Chand and he failed to make a big name in Indian cricket. After this, disappointed, he announced his retirement from Indian cricket in August 2021 and moved to America to give his career a fresh start. Since then he has been playing cricket only in America.
In fact, Chand has retired from all formats of Indian cricket and now plays for America, so he has been listed as a foreign player in the IPL 2025 auction. It may be noted that Chand is one of the three foreign players from the allied countries. His USA teammate Ali Khan and Scotland’s Brandon McMullen are the other two. A total of 208 foreigners have registered for this mega auction.
