German citizen sentenced to 14 months in jail in UP, know what the whole case is

A court in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh has awarded severe punishment to a German citizen. A German national has been convicted of fraud and falsifying the validity date of a visa after it expired. The court has sentenced the German citizen to 14 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 500. What is the whole matter?

Informing the case, Senior Prosecution Officer Satish Verma said that in the year 2017, Sub Inspector Sitaram of the Local Intelligence Unit investigated Holger Erich Misch, a citizen of Berlin, Germany. An investigation revealed that Holger’s visa had already expired. Accused Holger tampered with his visa and tampered with its validity date.
