  1. First of all, before using Google Maps, check if your smartphone has the app update or not. If your smartphone is not updated Google Maps may give you wrong information. In such a situation keep updating the map from time to time.

Not only this, if you feel that the map is showing an unknown or narrow path, seek the help of a local person. Sometimes the route information on Google Maps is not updated. In such a situation, it can prove dangerous for you.
  3. If you are going to an unknown place using Google Maps, select the Street View option in the app before searching for directions. If you zoom in on the map in street view, you will know where the road is narrow and where the road is closed.
  4. To turn on Street View, tap the icon above the compass in the map and select Street View from there. After this, find the place where you are going and turn on the direction. Before driving, check the direction shown in Google Maps by zooming from one place to another.
