AUS vs PAK ODI Series: Pakistan cricket team has achieved a great achievement on Australian soil. Pakistan have pulled off a miracle by winning the 3-match ODI series 2-1 in Australia for the first ODI series in 22 years. Pakistan won the third ODI in Perth by 8 wickets and won their first ODI series on Australian soil since 2002. You may be surprised to know that Pakistan have won a bilateral series on Australian soil for only the second time in international cricket i.e. in all three formats. Pakistan first achieved a major feat in the year 2002 by winning the ODI series 2-1 in Australia.
Haris Rauf did a great feat
Pakistan lost the 3-match ODI series by 2 wickets. After this, Pakistan hit back hard and won the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval by 9 wickets. In this match, Haris Rauf played an important role in dismissing Australia for just 163 runs. Haris took 5 wickets in this match. After this, in the third ODI, Haris Rauf lost 2 batsmen conceding just 24 runs in 7 overs. He was awarded the player of the match for this brilliant bowling. Apart from this, he was also selected as player of the series for taking 10 wickets in the series. With this he created history.
Haris Rauf repeated Pakistan legend Shoaib Akhtar’s feat by winning Player of the Series. In fact, Haris Rauf became the second Pakistani bowler after Shoaib Akhtar to win the player of the series award in an ODI series against Australia on Australian soil. Earlier, Shoaib Akhtar achieved this feat in the year 2002.
