Hindu pilgrim shot dead in Pakistan, devotees were going to Nankana Sahib

Lahore: A Hindu pilgrim has been shot dead in Pakistan’s Nankana Sahib. It is being said that the man was going to participate in the 555th Prakash Parva celebration of Guru Nanak Dev. Meanwhile, a Pakistani Hindu pilgrim was shot dead by robbers.

According to the information received, the deceased was a native of Larkana city of Sindh province, who has been identified as Rajesh Kumar. Rajesh Kumar was going from Lahore to Nankana Sahib in a car with his friend and relative. Meanwhile, three robbers blocked their way on the Mananwala-Nankana Sahib road, about 60 kilometers from Lahore.

Shots were fired after the robbery

Briefing about the incident, the police said, “The gunmen took Rs 4.5 lakh from the trio and Rs 10,000 from the driver. When Rajesh Kumar protested, the robbers opened fire on him and fled.” Rajesh Kumar was rushed to hospital in critical condition after the robbery and shooting incident on Wednesday night, where he died on Thursday.

A case has been registered against unknown people

A case has been registered against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the relative of deceased Rajesh Kumar. Let us tell you that the main ceremony of Guru Nanak Devji’s Prakash Parva was organized on Friday at Gurudwara Janmsthan Nankana Sahib. More than 2,500 Sikhs from India and a large number of local and foreign devotees also participated. (Input- Agency)
