How much money left in the purse of which team after IPL 2025 auction, could have bought more players

The two-day auction for IPL 2025 has ended. Meanwhile, money was spent like water by all the 10 teams. Huge bids of crores were placed on each player. In no time crores of rupees were at stake. Now the teams are ready for the next season of Indian Premier League. It is believed that the IPL will be played in March. Meanwhile, the question is whether the teams have any money left over after the auction. So the answer is yes. A few more players could be bought in this amount if the teams wanted.

Rishabh Pant has become the most expensive player in IPL history

Rishabh Pant has now become the most expensive player in IPL. The chair was occupied by Mitchell Starc for two days before, but LSG i.e. Lucknow Super Giants broke this record by signing Pant for Rs 27 crore. Teams bought a total of 182 players in the two-day auction. It includes 62 foreign players. This time the BCCI also gave RTM i.e. Right to Match card to the teams, under this a total of eight players have remained in their old team. If we talk about the entire expenditure in two days, the teams spent Rs 639.15 crore.

Even after the auction, RCB has the highest purse left

Now if we talk about the purse left by the teams, RCB has saved the most money. The team has saved 75 lakh rupees. However, the team has bought only 22 players and not 25. If the team wanted to, they could have bought two more players at the base price of 30 lakhs, but that didn’t happen. After this, Punjab Kings have saved 35 lakh rupees. The team had all 25 players in their squad, meaning they had no room to buy more players. Rajasthan Royals team also saved 30 lakh rupees. The team bought 20 players. They could have bought another player for Rs 30 lakh.

Only three teams had 25 players in their squad

According to BCCI rules, IPL teams can have a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 25 players in their squad. All teams had to adhere to the minimum. If we talk about the maximum squad of players, only three teams have kept 25 players. Chennai Super Kings complete 25 players, they have only Rs 5 lakh left. Gujarat Titans have also completed their 25 players. The team now has only 15 lakh rupees left. Apart from this, Punjab Kings have also completed 25 players.
