ICC ODI Batting Rankings: Pakistan’s Sam Ayub has been in great form for some time now and has been performing well. He showed a strong performance and scored a storming century against Zimbabwe and proved to be the biggest match winner for the team. Pakistan’s Sam Ayub has made huge gains in the ICC’s new ODI rankings of batsmen. He jumped 80 places to rank 90 and has 451 rating points. It is at a new peak. Earlier, he had a batsmen ranking of 170 in ODIs.
Scored a brilliant century against Zimbabwe
In the second ODI against Zimbabwe, Sam Ayub set an example of explosive batting and scored a century off just 53 balls. He became the joint third fastest century scorer for Pakistan in ODIs, equaling Shahid Afridi. In the match he scored 113 runs off 62 balls which included 17 fours and 3 sixes. He also won the player of the match award for his brilliant performance.

Sam Ayub is only 22 years old and he made his ODI debut for Pakistan team in the year 2024. After this, he has so far scored a total of 249 runs in 5 ODI matches, including a century. He has also played 6 Tests and 23 T20 Internationals for the Pakistan team.
Babar Azam is present at number one
Pakistan’s superstar batsman Babar Azam is number one in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. It has 809 rating points. After this, the next three positions are occupied by Indian batsmen. Rohit Sharma (765 rating) is second, Shubman Gill (763 rating) third and Virat Kohli (746 rating) fourth.
