In Bengaluru, the bodies of a brother and sister were found under mysterious circumstances, creating a sensation as the police investigated.

Two minor siblings were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Bengaluru on Thursday. Police gave this information on Friday. According to the police, seven-year-old Shubham and three-year-old Siya were allegedly strangled to death with a rope. Children’s father Sunil Kumar Sahu has accused his wife Mamata of killing the children due to a marital dispute.

The mother was present at home at the time of the incident

When Sahu, 30, a rickshaw puller in Jharkhand, returned to his home in Subramanyampura around 9.30pm on Thursday, he found his children dead, while his wife had minor injuries on her neck. Sahu took his children and wife to the hospital. Sahu has claimed in the complaint that his wife killed the children out of frustration and desperation due to disputes in their marital life. However, Mamata has denied any involvement in the crime and the police said she was at home at the time of the incident. Police have confirmed from CCTV footage that the father was not present at the time of the incident.

Conflicting claims from both parents

DCP Lokesh b. Citing the preliminary investigation, Jagalsar said that the children were strangulated with a rope. Conflicting claims have been made by both parents as to who is responsible for the murder. A case of murder has been registered and investigation is underway. Jagalsar said, “The mother sustained a minor neck injury and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. It is not yet known how he was injured.

Police are awaiting technical and forensic reports to investigate the incident. No arrests have been made so far.
