A total of 17 wickets fell on the first day of the Perth Test match between India and Australia, while only three wickets fell in the second day’s play. Everyone is praising the way Team India made a comeback with the ball and then with the bat in this match. On the other hand, after the second day’s play, the Australian team, who ended their first innings with a score of just 150, had a clear look of disappointment on their players’ faces, largely because of the team’s superb performance. India’s opening pair, who scored 150 runs in the second innings, put on a partnership of 172 runs at the end of the day’s play. After the day’s play ended, Australian team head coach Andrew Macdonald made a statement about the pitch that clearly showed his team’s disappointment.
India batted well as the pitch dried up quickly
After the end of the second day of the Perth Test, Australian team head coach Andrew MacDonald said in a press conference when asked about his team’s performance that the pitch looked too dry today or that it dried out too quickly. We thought maybe the new ball would have a bit more swing but it didn’t. So I think if you want to say we were a little surprised then yes we were because the movement or swing of the seam after the first day’s play was not what we expected.
There is no doubt that we are behind the game right now
Andrew Macdonald continued in his statement saying that there is no doubt that we are behind in this match now, but the game has its ups and downs and we will bounce back soon. There are still about 20 overs left before the new ball comes in and before that we will try to take one or two wickets so that we can use the new ball better. This is a big series in which both teams will make mistakes. KL Rahul and Yashwi Jaiswal both played well.
