The surprise of Mitchell Starc
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is known for his brilliant bowling, but he also did wonders with the bat against India. In fact, Team India lost 9 wickets to Australia on a score of 79 runs. After this, Team India hoped to easily restrict Australia to within 100 runs, but it did not happen and Mitchell Starc played an innings of 26 runs off 112 balls. Based on this innings, Australia scored 100+ runs.
Starc is the only player to do so
Starc is the only player to have faced more than 100 balls in the entire match. In the first innings, none of India’s batsmen faced more than 100 balls, while in the second innings, Starc was the only player to do so. Starc combined with Hazlewood for a crucial 25 off 110 balls for the last wicket and reduced the team’s run to a great extent. Starc loves batting against India. This is the second time Starc has faced 100+ balls against India. Earlier in the year 2013, he faced India in 144 balls.
