India lost four wickets for just 51 runs in the opening session on the first day of the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia on Friday. Australian fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets each. India’s young batsmen Yashaswi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikal could not even open their account. After this, Virat Kohli also returned to the pavilion after scoring 5 runs. Meanwhile, KL Rahul showed wisdom and controlled one end from the moment he entered the opening. He achieved this special feat in the 92nd innings of the Test. Thus, he became the 7th active cricketer to score more than 3000 runs for India in Tests. Previously, the names of active Indian cricketers with the most runs in Tests include Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
