IND vs AUS: Pat Cummins gives special advice to his batsmen, says no need to bat like Warner

IND vs CLOSED: A five-match Test series is to be played between India and Australia. Team India seems to be working hard for this series. This time too there are high expectations from the Australian team. Australia last won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2014. Since then he has been on the hunt for the trophy. This time Australia’s new opening batsman Nathan McSweeney has a heavy burden of expectations. He will replace Warner.

McSweeney will replace Warner

Nathan McSweeney will make his debut for Australia. Meanwhile, the captain of Australia has made a big statement about it. Which will reduce the pressure on them a lot. On Nathan McSweeney, Pat Cummins on Thursday said he does not need to play like former opener David Warner but should show his natural game. David Warner has been opening the innings against India so far, but after his retirement, the responsibility has now fallen to McSweeney.

What Cummins said

Cummins said in the pre-match press conference that replacing David Warner is very difficult. Nathan needs to show his game. There is no need to score runs at a strike rate of 80 like David because that is not his game. That said, we expect a good start from McSweeney and Khawaja. Both have played together for Queensland. Usman forces the bowlers to bowl long spells and Nathan is a similar batsman. After a good performance for Australia A against India A earlier this month, McSweeney was selected in the squad ahead of Marcus Harris.
