The Indian cricket team is on a tour of Australia and is preparing for the first Test match in Perth. Test series between India and Australia will start from November 22 in which 5 matches will be played. The very first match of this series will be played on the fast and bouncy pitch of Perth Stadium, for which Team India is sweating a lot. However, since reaching Australia, Team India has faced huge difficulties.
In fact, Team India’s middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan suffered an elbow injury while batting in the nets during India’s practice session at the WACA on Thursday, November 14. In the video posted by ‘Fox Cricket’, Sarfraz is seen holding his right hand while coming out of the nets. Meanwhile he was looking a little uncomfortable. However, it has been revealed that the injury is not serious and the batsman does not require an MRI.
Sarfraz was injured
Sarfraz may play in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth as Indian captain Rohit Sharma is in doubt to play in the first Test. Rohit is still in Mumbai for the birth of his second child. If Rohit is not available for the first match of the series, Lokesh Rahul may be asked to open the innings along with Yashwi Jaiswal, which will make room for Sarfraz in the middle order.
KL increased the tension of Team India
However, like Sarfaraz, KL Rahul also had to face an injury before the Perth Test match. KL Rahul was injured on Friday morning during practice in Waka, Perth. KL injured his right elbow during a center wicket match simulation before the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. This has increased India’s tension. It may be noted that earlier Team India was scheduled to play an intra squad match against India A under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaekwad in Perth but it was cancelled. After this the Indian team decided to practice center wicket match simulation in Perth.
