The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be held on Pakistani soil next year. The Indian cricket team has clearly refused to go to Pakistan for this tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently confirmed that India has informed the ICC of its reluctance to tour Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in February-March next year.
Even though the India-Pakistan match in the Champions Trophy is still in doubt, India and Pakistan are set to tie not one but 2-2 matches before the end of 2024. You will be shocked to know this. Yes, you heard that right. In the next few days, there will be two clashes between India and Pakistan. Interestingly, both the major matches will be played within a month. That means fans will be able to enjoy the India-Pakistan match twice. Let us now know in detail about these two great matches.
Fans are waiting for India-Pakistan match
Actually, Asian Cricket Council i.e. ACC has announced the schedule of Asia Cup. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group for the inaugural season of the Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup. The tournament will be held in Malaysia, with all 6 teams divided into two groups of three teams each. Group A consists of India, Pakistan and Nepal while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and hosts Malaysia. All the matches of this competition will be held at Bumas Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
The tournament will begin on December 15 with a match between hosts Malaysia and Sri Lanka. India will face Pakistan in the second match on the same day. Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh on the next day, followed by Pakistan against Nepal. The last round match of the group stage will be played on December 17. On this day, Bangladesh will face Malaysia, then India will face Nepal. The top two teams from each group will advance to the ‘Super Four Rounds’ on 19 and 20 December, while the fifth/sixth place play-off will take place on 18 December. The top two teams of the ‘Super Four’ will reach the final on December 22.
India-Pakistan will clash in Men’s Asia Cup
This is about another match. Now let’s talk about the first match. The women’s U19 Asia Cup will be preceded by a clash between India and Pakistan on November 30. The match will take place in the Men’s U19 Asia Cup for which the Indian squad has been announced. The Indian U-19 cricket team will begin its campaign in the tournament against the Pakistan U-19 team in Dubai on November 30. India will then face Japan U19 and UAE U19 in Sharjah on November 2 and 4.

- Second Semi-Final Match: December 6, Sharjah (10:30 am IST)
- Final Match: December 8, Dubai (10:30 am IST)
