Infosys gives an average performance bonus of 85% to junior and mid-level employees

Infosys Performance Bonus: The bonus relates to the company’s performance in Q2 2025, which ended in September.

Infosys Performance Bonus: Infosys has announced an 85 percent performance bonus for eligible employees, sources confirmed News18.com. The bonus is related to the company’s performance in Q2 2025, which ended in September. Eligible employees are expected to receive a bonus along with their November pay, with the exact payout varying based on individual performance and contributions during the quarter.

The bonus will primarily benefit mid- and junior-level employees in the delivery and sales units, which form a significant chunk of Infosys’ 3.15 lakh-strong workforce.

Infosys email to employees

The company has sent emails to the appropriate employees regarding the bonus. A portion of the email has been reviewed by News18Reads: “In line with our organizational goals of fostering a high-performance work culture, we continue to drive performance differentiation by discontinuing bonus payments.”

The email continues, “In Q2, we performed strongly with broad-based growth, strengthening our market leadership. This success is the result of your unwavering dedication, our strategic focus on margin performance, and our industry-leading expertise in cloud and generative AI. Your commitment has been instrumental in building our capabilities and delivering exceptional value to our customers. Thank you for your invaluable contributions, and we look forward to a future full of endless possibilities with you.”

Financial performance and bonus payments

For Q2 2025, Infosys’ net profit rose 4.7 percent year-on-year to Rs. 6,506 crore and increased revenue by 5.1 percent to Rs. 40,986 crore, driven by large deals and higher demand in financial services. The company also raised its FY25 revenue growth forecast to 3.75%-4.5 percent.

The 85 per cent bonus payout is an increase from the 80 per cent announced for Q1 FY25 and 60 per cent in Q4 FY24. Unlike some competitors, such as TCS, which reportedly links bonuses to office presence, Infosys’ bonus policy is not linked to its hybrid work model, which requires employees to work on-site for at least 10 days per month. An Infosys employee confirmed that bonus payments are independent of the company’s office-to-office policy.

Infosys bonus payout surpasses TCS

Infosys’ bonus payout has surpassed that of TCS, which gave an average 50-60 percent bonus to office-based employees with higher payouts.

Further, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh announced that the pay hike will begin selectively in January 2025 and will be extended to all employees by April 2025. This follows a pay freeze in FY22 and a delayed appraisal cycle in FY24.
