IPL 2025 Auction: Rishabh Pant breaks all records, LSG bought for so many crores

Players are being auctioned for IPL 2025. All 10 teams are betting on their favorite players. Meanwhile, a team has made a big bet on India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. This team is none other than Lucknow Super Giants, they bought Rishabh Pant for 27 crores. Rishabh Pant participated in this auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Pant has played very good cricket in recent times. This is the reason why his team spent crores of rupees on him. Pant has also won the T20 World Cup 2024 for India. Since then, Pant has been a part of Delhi Capitals. Many teams fought for Pant, but in the end Lucknow Super Giants won.

Delhi Capitals did not retain

Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has not been retained by the Delhi Capitals team for this season. Reportedly, there were reports that there was no agreement between Rishabh Pant and Delhi Capitals over money, but then Pant clarified that money was not the only reason behind it. A PTI report revealed that Panch is not happy with the new coaching staff of Delhi Capitals. For this reason he left the team before the auction.

How has Pant’s IPL and T20 career been?

If we take a look at Rishabh Pant’s IPL career, he has scored 3284 runs in 111 IPL matches at an average of 35.31. His strike range was 148.93. Pant is an accurate T20 wicketkeeper batsman. He has scored 1209 runs in 66 innings of T20 Internationals. His average is 23.25 and strike rate is 127.4. So far he has only played for the team in the IPL. He was also the captain of the team till last season. Now it will be interesting to see if Pant is made the captain of his new team or not.
