IPL 2025: Delhi Capitals have a big chance, they can bring back many of their players.

IPL 2025 Auction: IPL 2025 auction date is approaching. All teams are currently busy strategizing which players they can target. Teams that have an option are also debating which player they will use their RTM for. The good thing is that Delhi Capitals are left with two options for the RTM i.e. Right to Match card. Because the team has retained only four of its players. Let’s try to figure out which players the Delhi Capitals team can spend its two RTMs on.

Rishabh Pant will be a big question for Delhi Capitals

What Delhi Capitals’ strategy will be in the IPL 2025 auction will largely depend on whether they want to bring Rishabh Pant back to the team or if the relationship between Pant and DC is completely over. However, Rishabh Pant recently revealed in a social media post that there was no discussion between him and Delhi regarding money. It means there is no issue related to money retention. What happened then was that Delhi let go of a captain and a player like Pant. It will be known only in the future.

These players can be targeted by DC

If Rishabh Pant is not on Delhi Capitals’ wishlist, the team can then use RTM for Khalil Ahmed, Jack Fraser McGurk, Mukesh Kumar, Enrich Norkhia, Mitchell Marsh and Harry Brook. All these are strong players and they have the ability to single-handedly win a match for their team. The four players retained by Delhi include Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs and Abhishek Porel. That means the team will need an opening pair. The team released David Warner and Prithvi Shaw. However, Abhishek Porel can also open. But what the team thinks remains to be seen. The team will also need a fast bowler, of which there is none yet. That means all efforts will be made to bring one of Khalil Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar back under RTM. Which can also prove beneficial for the team.
