IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Kagiso Rabada now a part of the team, the franchise spent Rs 10.75 crore

South African players are among the most foreign players shortlisted in the IPL Mega Auction this time, with 31 of them and one of the names is that of dangerous fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Gujarat Titans have included one of the marquee players Kagiso Rabada in the ongoing mega auction in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Rabada was part of the Punjab Kings squad last season, but the Punjab franchise decided to drop him from the list of retained players ahead of the mega auction.

Rabada’s last IPL season was nothing special

Last IPL season was not special for Kagiso Rabada, he played 11 matches and took only 11 wickets at an average of 33.82, with an economy rate of 8.86. Rabada made his IPL debut in the year 2017 in which he played his first match for the Delhi Capitals team. After this, Rabada was part of the Delhi team till the IPL season played in the year 2021. In the year 2022, Punjab Kings made Rabada a part of their team for 9 crore 25 lakh rupees and till the year 2024, he was seen playing in the IPL on behalf of this team.

Such has been Rabada’s performance in T20 Internationals so far

If we talk about the performance of Kagiso Rabada, who is an important part of the bowling of the South African team, he has so far played 65 matches in T20 Internationals, taking 71 wickets at an average of 27.15, with an economy rate of 8.30. If we look at Rabada’s performance in the year 2024, he has taken 13 wickets in 9 matches.
