The land allocation scheme, which will conclude with a lottery draw to be held on December 27, offers different plot sizes.
The rapid pace of development in Greater Noida, especially around the upcoming Jewar International Airport, has fueled unprecedented demand for land in the region. On October 31, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), also known as the Yamuna Development Authority, launched the much-anticipated land allotment scheme for plots near the airport. Unveiled on the occasion of Diwali, the scheme received unprecedented response from potential buyers.
So far, 34,180 applicants have paid the registration fee and submitted their forms to secure one of the 451 plots available in the region. With the application deadline on November 30, the authority has already collected Rs 1,493 crore in registration fees alone before selling the plots alone. This amount represents significant financial growth for YEIDA.

Huge demand in developing region
The overwhelming response to the scheme reflects the growing interest in the land surrounding Jewar Airport, which is poised to become one of the country’s largest aviation hubs. The region’s infrastructural development, with the promise of improved connectivity and increased economic activity, has made it a hub for real estate speculation and investment.
The success of the land scheme is not only an indicator of demand for plots but also of growing confidence in the future prospects of the region. The authority’s decision to launch the scheme has not only attracted local residents but also investors from across the state and outside Uttar Pradesh.
A financial windfall for YEIDA
YEIDA collected through registration fee Rs. 1,493 crore represents a significant financial gain for the authority, which will help fund further infrastructure development in the region. The funds are expected to contribute to the construction of basic facilities, roads and utilities, ensuring that the land is fully usable once allocated.
The high registration fees and number of applicants reflect the attractiveness of the region and the growing demand for land, as many look to take advantage of the opportunities created by the Jewar Airport project. Huge financial inflows could signal further investment and development opportunities for both government and private entities in the area.
future prospects
As the deadline for applications approaches, the final number of applicants is expected to rise even further, as interest in land near the airport continues to grow. A draw to be held on December 27 will determine the lucky individuals who will be awarded the coveted plot.
This land allocation scheme has clearly positioned the Yamuna Development Authority in the real estate boom of the region and the area around Jewar Airport is fast emerging as the most sought-after destination for both home buyers and investors in Uttar Pradesh.
