Jimmy Fallon Condemned for Weird Fashion Choice at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade: ‘Drinkgiving’

Jimmy Fallon made his 10th appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade but his fans couldn’t tell if it was Thanksgiving or Drinksgiving for the comedian and chose to dress in all black, covering his eyes with shades and carrying a transparent umbrella. Yes, he wore sunglasses in the rain in New York City.
Jimmy Fallon joined Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and AI Rocker in hosting the parade, but his fashion choices remained a conundrum. “Sunglasses in the rain is the most Jimmy Fallon that Jimmy Fallon can do,” one user wrote. Another wrote: “NYC hasn’t seen Jimmy Fallon on the sunniest day ever,” alongside a picture of a young Jodie Sweetin wearing yellow glasses in Full House. The 2024 parade begins at 8:30 AM EST with an additional broadcast at 2 PM EST. It was available to watch on NBC and Peacock, with special Spanish broadcasts on Telemundo.
It was hosted by TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker. The cast includes Jennifer Hudson, Billie Porter and Kylie Minogue. However, other stars took to the aisles on the festive floats, including Jimmy Fallon, Ariana Maddicks and T-Pain. YouTube star Charlie D’Amelio made her expected appearance. For sports fans, the New York Liberty brought their mascot, Eli the Elephant.
The parade was disrupted due to rain and there was also a terrorist threat, although no major incidents occurred, the parade went well. Pro-Palestinian protesters who blocked the parade route were quickly arrested by the NYPD.
